Dr. Larry Schweikart

Larry Schweikart, an Arizona native and graduate of Arizona State who then spent several years traveling as a drummer in a rock band, opening for such acts as “Steppenwolf” and the “James Gang.” He suddenly had an abrupt direction change and decided to become a history professor, getting a Ph.D. from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and joined the faculty of the University of Dayton, where he’s taught for the last 25 years. His recent best-sellers include A Patriot’s History of the United States and 48 Liberal Lies About American History, which earned him a regular spot on “Fox and Friends” for almost four months examining textbook lies. In addition to Fox, he has appeared on the “700 Club,” Book TV, Al-Jazeera Television, was named one of the World’s Worst People by MSNBC’s twit Keith Olbermann, and has been on every major radio show in the nation, including Laura Ingram, Hugh Hewitt, Dennis Prager, and of course, Rush Limbaugh. Among other things, he is currently working on a history of rock and roll in the Golden Age with such musical greats as the members of Vanilla Fudge, and has had the fun of interviewing Dave Mason, Felix Cavaliere, and Alice Cooper.
