As introduced, requires parental or legal guardian consent for further testing or storage of blood or biological samples taken from a newborn for purposes other than the required test to be performed on the newborn.
UPDATE: We have been meeting with the Department of Health to work language that will protect parental rights and respect privacy.
NOTICE: I am sad to report that as that we were preparing to go to committee we learned that the committee had not been notified to put the bill on notice prior to the committee's announced closing.
