Who Are We?

Bobbie Patray - Tennessee Eagle Forum State President Eagle Forum's Mission is to enable conservative and pro-family men and women to participate in the process of self-government and public-policy making so that America will continue to be a land of individual liberty, respect for family integrity, public and private virtue, and private enterprise.

Eagle Forum's achievements prove that citizen-volunteers can affect government policies in Congress, state legislatures, city councils and school boards; elect candidates at every level; and articulate conservative and pro-family policies through media.

"Eagle Forum has set a high standard of volunteer participation in the political and legislative process... You've been out front on so many of the most important issues of our time... Your work is an example to all those who would struggle for an America that is prosperous and free... Our nation needs the kind of dedicated and individual volunteer service you and Eagle Forum have demonstrated over the last 20 years."

- Former President Ronald Reagan

"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."
- Isaiah 40:31

Will YOU take a stand for LIFE?

In 2000, the State Supreme Court declared UNCONSTITUTIONAL our informed consent law, our law requiring that second trimester abortions be done in a hospital and the required waiting period giving women time to reflect on the decision they are about to make saying that our State Constitution had a stronger 'right to privacy' than the United States Constitution.

In February of this year, the Attorney General issued an official opinion saying that, based on the 2000 court decision, if the state legislature tried to ban partial abortion http://www.nrlc.org/abortion/pba/, that law, if challenged in court, would be 'constitutionally suspect." In other words, he said, "I have my doubts about even being able to defend such a law."
Will YOU take a stand for LIFE?
The only way to make our State Constitution 'neutral' on abortion, like it was for 130 years, is the pass the proposed Constitutional Amendment, SJR 127. We only have about three weeks to get the job done.

Please go to http://www.lifepetition.org/ and watch the brief videos.
There you will find all the information you need to take action to make YOUR voice heard.
